I have my home sectioned off into areas for cleaning.  This week we are on Section 2.

Back Porch, Utility, Kitchen

Kitchen

  • Remove Curtains to wash and clean window
  • Air room if possible
  • Clean Light fixture
  • Wipe Fingerprints and splatters off of walls and woodwork
  • Clean Wall decorations
  • Full Fridge Cleaning
  • Clean Oven
  • Clean Toaster and clean/straighten Oven countertop
  •  Clean/straighten cabinet under window
  • Clean trash and recycling cans
  • Clean area around trash/recycling
  • Clean Microwave
  • Clean Hood Filters
  • Clean Cooktop
  • Wash all the things on the countertops and wipe down countertops.
  • Wipe down cabinet fronts
  • Clean Under Sink
  • Dishwasher Maintenance
  • Sink/faucet: check caulk around sink and check for needed repairs
  • Clean Sink
  • Choose one wall for heavy cleaning. Purge, wipe out and clean cupboards , drawers, wall, and woodwork.
  • Oven wall - Jan, May, Sept
  • Window wall -Feb, June, Oct
  • Cooktop wall - March, July, Nov
  • Sink wall -April,Aug, Dec
  • Replace curtains and other items that were removed to be cleaned.
  • Check and tighten/adjust hardware
  • Make repair list
  • Sweep and Mop Floor
Utility Room
  • Remove Curtains to launder and wash window.
  • Remove and clean light fixture
  • Clean ceiling, walls, woodwork and switches.
  • Washer and Dryer Maintenance and wipe down
  • Organize and clean shelving.
  • Purge Pantry
  • Organize and wipe down freezer.  Defrost as needed.  (May)
  • Hot Water Maintenance
  • Heater/ AC Maintenance
  • Wipe down door.
  • Replace curtains
  • Check hardware
  • Make repair list
  • Sweep & mop floor
Back Porch
  • Sweep down cobweb and spider webs
  • Sweep the porch.
  • Wipe off  light fixtures.
  • Get rid of unwanted items.
  • Clean/replace mats.
  • Clean Screen Door
  • Check hardware Check railings.
  • Make repair list
